A new year, lots of new ideas

This week the postman brought two large parcels!

 

One from  The handweavers studio    the other from  Rudi Kuenzl.

 

This is the result

 

 

 

I do not know what to start with!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scarf

This is my latest "work".

 

I have been experimenting with the same structure...changing materials, changing the dimension of the structure. The first scarf I made was with cotton and silk, but it seemed a bit fragile for everyday use. The final scarf is with wool, merino and silk. It feels luxurious, but not too fragile. I am happy with the result!

 

 

 

It is very difficult to capture the colours. In real it looks a bit like a feather of a peacock.

 

 

 

 

And here is a detail on the loom: unfortunately it changes when it comes of the loom.

 

It also makes me think of the Ennis textile blocks from Frank Lloyd Wright!

 

At last!!!

New Book

New ideas!

During this holidays I thought of painting at least every month a specific place near us.
It is something I want to do from the moment we moved to this place....But wanting is not the same as doing!
So some days ago I went for a walk with all my drawing stuff....looking for a good place to paint.

BUT the rain had another idea about it, and I had to quit with a painting spoiled by the rain .
